Stockland has engaged RPS to create Townsville’s North Shore Town Square which will include 2,000m2 of hard and soft landscaping and a custom water feature. The water feature is made up of 3 sections extending almost 50m through the centre of the square. Brisbane-based Artist Milkana Kirova was commissioned to create the custom art panels that will form the base of the water feature.

Concrete
The finished silicon mould of the art was taken to the concrete specialists. They build a frame around the artwork element to create one complete panel - ready to install on site, than fill the mould with glass reinforced colour concrete. Once the concrete is set the mould is removed and is ready for the next one. The art panel now needs time to cure (a prosses of drying during which it would change colour untill fully set).
Silicon
After the artwork was finished and prepared for the mould to be taken Paul Piccolini from Piccolini Creations http://piccoli.tradingmania.com/ build a frame around the clay art work and than made the silicon model.
